Local students inducted into LCCC honor societies
Schnecksville, Pa. - Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) honored students from two honor societies, Kappa Beta Delta (KBD) and Lambda Epsilon Chi (LEX), at a ceremony on April 25 at the school's main campus in Schnecksville.
Kappa Beta Delta
The following individuals were inducted into KBD, the International Honor Society honoring outstanding students in LCCC's Associate degree programs of Accounting, Business, Computer Science/Computer Specialist, and Hospitality that are accredited by the Accreditation Council of Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP):

The purposes of KBD, an International Business Honor Society, are to encourage and recognize scholarship and accomplishment among students of business pursuing associate degrees and to encourage and promote personal and professional improvement and a life distinguished by honorable service to humankind.
Lambda Epsilon Chi
The following individuals were inducted into LEX, the National Honor Society in Paralegal/Legal Assistant Studies based upon academic excellence.
Lehighton: Elena Madzhirova
LEX students must meet the following qualifications, which include at least 12 credits in Paralegal Studies courses: 3.5 G.P.A. overall, 3.25 in major; completion of at least 49 credits (24 credits for certificate program students; 90 credits for Kutztown University PLG students), including at least 12 credits in paralegal studies courses.
