Mr. and Mrs. Frederic P. Gimbi Sr. of New Ringgold recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

They were united in marriage on June 17, 1963 in East Orange, N.J. by the Rev. Wilbur Parker.Mrs. Gimbi is the former Donna Gerrone, daughter of Angelo Gerrone of Avon Lake, Ohio and the late Marie (Figueiredo) Gerrone.Her husband is the son of the late Margaret (Parsons) and Russell Gimbi.Frederic and Donna have six children: Fred Jr. of Freeland; Elizabeth, married to Adam Jakelsky of New Jersey; Joy, married to Steve Manetta of New Jersey; Christian of New Jersey; Rachel, married to Scott Covert of New Jersey; and Leah, married to Tim Harris of New Jersey. They also have 15 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter.The couple celebrated their golden anniversary by renewing their wedding vows at "The Garden Tomb" in Jerusalem during a trip to Israel, which was given to them by family and friends.
