Man cited for letting dog loose

Published June 21. 2013 05:03PM

A Tamaqua man has been cited after his three year old Husky was found running loose on Schuylkill Avenue, on June 13.

Police were dispatched to the 100 block of Catawissa Street, near the Bungalow Park, for a dog running loose. Several people were in the area and told the officers the dog runs loose several times a week. One man said the dog almost bit him, while a woman showed officers a mark on her upper right arm that she said was from the dog grabbing her arm.

The Husky's owner was identified as Stephen Kantor, 38, of 419 W. Rowe St. Officers were able to corral the dog, which was turned over to Kantor's father.

Kantor was cited for allowing the dog to run loose.
