Barnesville man jailed for break-in

Rush Township police have arrested a Barnesville man in connection with a June 19 burglary at 21 Maple Ave., Barnesville.

David J. Halabura, 18, is accused of breaking a window at the rear of the home to gain access. Once inside he removed several items, including a credit card. Halabura later attempted to use the stolen card at The Brown Bag in Barnesville and at the Wells Fargo Bank Branch in Pottsville.

He was arraigned before on-call District Judge Carol Pankake, Tremont, on charges of burglary, criminal trespass, criminal mischief, access device fraud, theft and receiving stolen property. Bail was set at $35,000.

Unable to post the required bond, Halabura was lodged in the Schuylkill County prison, Pottsville.
