Motorcyclist charged with DUI

Mahoning Township police have charged a New Ringgold motorcyclist with driving while under the influence (DUI) of alcohol.

Police said on Feb. 24 at 6 p.m. a motorcycle was stopped for improper passing on SR443 by the Carbon Plaza Mall.

The driver, Mark Brensinger, 26, was found to be under the influence of alcohol, allege police.

Police report that a blood test showed a BAC of .21 percent alcohol.

Brensinger has been charged with DUI, careless driving, overtaking on the left, and protective equipment (failed to wear eye protection). A preliminary hearing has been set for July 3 at the office of District Judge Edward Lewis in Jim Thorpe.
