NRA instructor to speak at Lehighton 9/12 meeting

Dr. Diana Sorrentino, an NRA instructor, will be the guest speaker during a meeting of the Lehighton 9/12 Project on Thursday, June 27.

The event will be held at the Beaver Run Rod and Gun Club, 676 Stewart Creek Road, Mahoning Township.

An optional buffet will be served at 5 p.m. Dr. Sorentino will speak at 7 p.m.

For reservations, call Sandy at 570-645-8510 no later than Saturday, June 22.

This is a return appearance for Dr. Sorrentino, a veteran of the United States Navy; an Intelligence Officer; a former Foreign Area Officer and Security Analyst who researches, designs, develops and conducts seminars and training programs on the use of Deadly Force, and an individual who currently coaches, instructs and trains military, police, private security personnel and civilians in Defensive & Tactical Handgun Skills and the use of Firearms for the defense of self and others.

Over 100 people attended the first time she spoke to the Lehighton 9/12 Project.

She discussed firearm safety, the proper fitting of a handgun, and especially what is happening in Washington D.C. regarding gun control.

Sandy Dellicker, president of the Lehighton 9/12 Project, will be in charge of the meeting.

There is no charge to hear Dr. Sorrentino speak.
