Members of the Happy Hookers sewing and knitting group are making lap throws for residents at the St Luke's Hospital Miners Campus.

The group meets every Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. in the community room of the ABC Hi-Rise in Tamaqua. Their needle work consists of cross stitch, hand quilts, granny squares and more.

The members also enjoy time spent socializing with each other.

For more information about the Happy Hookers sewing and knitting group, call Connie Dixon at (570) 668-1952 or Janet Hagerty at (570) 668-4809.
