Vandalism, burglary in Mahoning Twp.

On May 21, Mahoning Township Police received a report of vandalism at the Springdale Estates on Country Club Road. A maintenance worker reported unknown person(s) had broken into the water supply building between May 11 and 21.

Police said the exterior door lock was broken off, and the doorknob smashed. Obscene graffiti was spray painted inside.

In addition an emergency eye wash station was destroyed by the vandal(s).

The Pa. Department of Environmental Protection responded to the location for water quality testing. Anyone with information is asked to contact Mahoning Township Police at 570-386-2241 or by email at mahtwppd@ptd.net

On May 25, a resident of Ashtown Drive reported several mailboxes had been smashed overnight. Anyone with information is asked to contact Mahoning Township Police.

On May 25, a burglary was reported at 162 Velvet Lane. Several firearms were taken in the theft. Anyone with information is asked to contact Mahoning Township Police at 570-386-2241 or by email at mahtwppd@ptd.net
