Members and advisors with Tamaqua Youth Ministries (TYM) will spend about a week in Bear Branch, Kentucky as part of mission work with Big Creek Missions. Cheryl Nemeth, local mission organizer,stated, "While there, we will be providing assistance to the two poorest counties in the United States." She added they will be working with 6 or 7 church groups from around the nation. She said that each member raised their own funds to go on the trip. A 15 passenger van was also donated by Bob Weaver Chevrolet of Pottsville for the group to use. TYM members will leave around 3 a.m. Sunday. Participants are, front l-r, Kyle Whitley, Pete Butkus, Josh Nemeth, Paul Nemeth; back l-r, Molly Betz, Anthony Iacviello, Joann Butkus, Cheryl Nemeth and Victoria Woodward.
