A Monroe County teen is facing a charge of burglary and related counts following an incident that occurred on June 1 about 11:57 a.m.

Pocono Mountain Regional police responded to 649 Glen Circle Drive, in Pocono Farms, Tobyhanna, to a reported break-in. On scene officers were told by the homeowner, not identified by police, that someone had entered the home during the past 24 hours and removed a jug containing U.S. currency.

A further investigation led to the arrest of Michael Baker, 19, of Tobyhanna, who resides in close proximity of the home that was entered. Police allege that Baker entered the home through an unlocked rear door and removed the jug of money. About $500 was in the jug.

Baker was charged with burglary, criminal trespass, theft, and receiving stolen property. Police noted the jug was found in a wooded area off SR 940.
