A Monroe County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) and other counts following an incident that occurred about 8:30 p.m. on May 29 at Joe's Kwik Mart, located along SR940 in Tobyhanna.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said they received several calls about a careless driver along Long Pond Road and that the vehicle entered a lot at Joe's Kwik Mart.

Upon arrival officers found a driver slumped over the wheel of her vehicle with her five-year-old daughter inside the vehicle.

The driver was identified as Robin Wagner, 45, of Long Pond. She was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance and failed field sobriety tests. She was taken for a blood test that revealed the presence of alprazolam, codeine, and morphine in her system.

She was charged with DUI, endangering the welfare of children, recklessly endangering another person, careless driving, and driving on roadways laned for traffic.
