Break-in, mischief incident probed

State police at Lehighton reported investigating a burglary and a criminal mischief incident.

The break-in occurred on the property of Leah Rhinesmith, 256 Bear Rd., in Kunkletown, Polk Township, Monroe County.

A unlocked shed on the property was entered and removed was a Husqvarna & Bollins chainsaw. Also taken was a flag on a pole and a wreath from outside the home. The incident occurred sometime between May 2-9, troopers said.

Paul Berger, 21, of 4145 Fireline Rd., in Lower Towamensing Township, Carbon County, reported his billboard sign located at his residence was smashed sometime between June 1 at 6 p.m. and June 2 at 1 a.m.
