Quakake man cited for theft incident

A 30-year-old Quakake man was arrested in Rush Township on May 30 following a retail theft incident at the Hometown Commons Wal-Mart.

Brandon Snyder allegedly entered the store at 11:30 p.m. and took merchandise valued at $925.03. He then drove away. When police set up a roadblock, Snyder turned onto a wooded path off Lofty Road. He was taken into custody a short time later at his residence.

He faces charges of retail theft, receiving stolen property, fleeing/eluding law enforcement, and driving while under suspension.

Snyder was wanted on a parole violation, which led to him being lodged in the State Correctional Institute - Mahanoy.
