Four criminal trials begin

Four criminal jury trials got underway this morning in Schuylkill County court.

David L. Kraft, 60, of Pottsville, is on trial on charges of tampering with public records and unlawful conduct for allegedly violating the Clean and Green Law, as charged by the state Attorney General's office. President Judge William E. Baldwin is presiding over the trial.William Robert Thompson, 48, Minersville, is on trial before Judge John E. Domalakes and a jury on charges of two counts of simple assault and one count each of defiant trespass and harassment brought by Minersville Police.Juan Jose Perez, 26, Shenandoah, is on trial before Judge Charles M. Miller facing charges of criminal trespass by breaking into a building in the Pottsville Housing Development, intimidation of a witness or victim, theft, and receiving stolen property as charged by Pottsville police.William Rodriguez, 31, Shenandoah, is on trial before Judge James P. Goodman facing two counts each of delivery of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver, possession, and possession of drug paraphernalia as charged by the Schuylkill County Drug Task Force.
