Lansford driver facing DUI count

A Lansford driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence of a controlled substance following an incident in Summit Hill.

Borough police said on March 26 at 8:04 p.m. they were dispatched to the Miner’s Market for a report of an unconscious woman in a vehicle. On scene, officers found the woman behind the wheel of a Subaru with the engine running. The woman was identified as Angela P. McGlinchey, 42, of the 100 block of East Bertsch Street. Several attempts were made to wake her up with no success. She finally woke up and showed signs of impairment and admitted that she “took too many pills.”

She was transported to St. Luke’s Miners Memorial Hospital, Coaldale, where she submitted to a blood test. The test results showed the presence of controlled substances in her system.
