Missing Mahoning man located at a Flagstaff, Arizona Wal-Mart
SPECIAL TO THE TIMES NEWS Jesse Green, right, with his son, Donovan. Green, of Mahoning Township, was missing since July 21. He was found during the weekend in Flagstaff, Ariz. after reportedly phoning his parents from a Wal-Mart there.
A Mahoning Township man, missing since July 21, has been located in Flagstaff, Ariz., according to Mahoning Township Police.
Jesse Green, 52, reportedly drove to Arizona because he was "stressed," said Officer in Charge Audie Mertz of the Mahoning Township Police Department.
Mertz said Green called his parents from a Wal-Mart in Flagstaff and said he was OK.
Mahoning Police contacted the police department in Flagstaff and they located Green at the Wal-Mart.
Mertz said he talked with Flagstaff police, who said Green told them he "took a road trip to see the Grand Canyon" to get away for awhile.
Green was last seen on July 21 at Skirmish in Penn Forest Township where he was employed.
His disappearance was listed as "suspicious" by police officers because he had a perfect attendance record for years at his place of employment.
On Friday, Mertz said information was entered into the NCIC (the FBI's National Crime Information Center) database.
Green's cell phone was located in Utah on July 24, Mertz noted.
Family members reportedly flew to Flagstaff to bring Mertz back to Pennsylvania.
