Cited following domestic incident

A McAdoo woman has been cited following a domestic incident in Tamaqua on July 11.

Police were dispatched to 613 Arlington St. at 1:22 a.m. after someone reported a disturbance. On scene, they spoke with Olga Gomez, who reported that Megan Luchetta, 19, of 109 N. Kennedy Drive, McAdoo, had used a putty scraper to open the door, then entered the residence and assaulted her. Luchetta then fled the scene with Gomez's dog.

Officers conducted a search and found Luchetta and the dog in the basement of the residence. Gomez had injuries to her forehead, finger and left arm.

Luchetta was cited for burglary, theft, receiving stolen property, simple assault and harassment.
