Lehighton hires athletic coaches

Lehighton Area School Board hired Erica Pagotto as the new head cross country coach for the 2013-2014 school year on Monday evening.

Pagotto served as assistant cross country coach for the Indians last season. She replaces Jacob Marushak whose resignation as head coach was accepted by the school board on Monday evening.

The school board also accepted the resignation of Jonathan Hakim, assistant boys' soccer coach.

Additional athletic hires for the 2013-2014 school year include Jennifer Tracy as assistant cross country coach; Charles Bachert, John Lopata, Janice Scherer, Ron Rabenold, Rachel Quinn, and Courtney Schleicher as fall game managers; Karen Wall as assistant field hockey coach; and Jake Molchany, Dylan Smith, and Michael Snyder as assistant boys' soccer coaches.

The school board also approved as volunteer coaches Brent Andrew, Tom Gable, and Charles Sterling for football; Jack Knappenberger for golf; and Josh Eckert for boys' soccer.
