Man falls along road in Still Creek

An elderly man was life-flighted to the hospital Saturday night after falling and hitting his head along the southbound lane of SR309 near the intersection of Fairview Street near Still Creek in Rush Township. One report said that the man fell after he got out of the vehicle. McAdoo paramedics responded and transported the man to a field in McAdoo where a helicopter landed to transport the man to the hospital. Responding were Ryan and Rush Township Police, along with Tamaqua and McAdoo ambulance crews. No more information was available as of press time.
