A Monroe County man is facing a charge of terroristic threats following an incident that occurred about 10:30 p.m. on Saturday.

State police at Lehighton said Paul R. Ackerman, 25, of Effort, was in the roadway along Holly Lane, Polk Township, yelling profanities at Christa M. Tamn, 36, of Kunkletown.Ackerman then went to his vehicle and returned to the roadway holding a shotgun while threatening to kill Tamn.Ackerman was placed under arrest and lodged in the county prison in Snydersville, pending arraignment, troopers said.
