Published July 11. 2013 05:04PM

A Jim Thorpe resident is facing charges following a vehicle stop that occurred last November.

Borough police said Reinaldo Magobet, 37, of 221 South St., was stopped about 1:23 p.m. on Nov. 24, 2012, operating a 2000 Ford Explorer along Center Street for a vehicle code violation.

Magobet was asked for his vehicle registration, driver's license, and insurance information, which he said he did not have. He was then asked his name and date of birth, at which time he yelled profanities at the officer and refused to exit the vehicle. When the officer requested assistance Magobet gave his name and birth date quickly. When the officer asked him to repeat it, he shouted more profanities.

After the arrival of another officer Magobet gave his information. He was charged with one misdemeanor count three of persistent disorderly conduct, and traffic citation for operation of a vehicle without an official certificate of inspection.
