Coaldale man facing charges

Jim Thorpe police reported the arrest of a Coaldale resident for an incident that occurred last November.

Police said Roberto Magobet, 34, whose last known address was 151 Second St., has been charged with two misdemeanor counts of persistent disorderly conduct, and summary counts of disorderly conduct (two counts), and public drunkenness.

The incident occurred on Nov. 18, 2012, about 10:27 p.m. outside the American Legion, at 304 W. Sixth St. Police were dispatched to the area for a report of a large group of individuals fighting in the street.

Through the course of the investigation which included interviews with several persons on scene. Magobet was taken into custody. While transporting Magobet to the police station he vomited inside and outside the patrol car. After being evaluated by EMS personnel at the station, Magobet was told he was being charged. Police said while waiting for a ride to come for him, Magobet caused a disturbance in the lobby area despite being warned to stop. His ride eventually came and he left.
