David Edmondson, 23, of Tobyhanna, was charged by Pocono Mountain Regional police with public drunkenness and disorderly conduct after police were called to investigate a fight in the parking lot of the Brookside Bar in Tobyhanna at 11:20 p.m. June 29.

Police said when they arrived they identified Edmondson, who was in an intoxicated state at the time. When police were interviewing him he became disorderly and began threatening to assault another person who was present at the scene.

Police said Edmondson advised them he was walking to New Jersey and that he would walk the entire way in the roadway. He then began to walk south on Main Street in the middle of the roadway, at which time he was taken into custody and transported to the Monroe County Correctional Facility, Snydersville, where he was charged.
