Monroe man jailed for resisting arrest

Published July 10. 2013 05:01PM

A Monroe County man was jailed on Tuesday after he allegedly resisted arrest.

State police at Lehighton said troopers were dispatched to 139 Victoria Arms Circle, Kunkletown, Polk Township, about 8:03 p.m. for a report of a fight between neighbors.

Following an investigation troopers said Anthony Carmine Nava, 30, of Kunkletown, was to be transported from the scene and taken to a friends' home. While being transported Nava was acting in a drunk and disorderly manner and was informed he would be taken to prison. He then resisted arrest and damaged the police cruiser.

Nava was placed in the county prison in Snydersville pending arraignment.
