July 6, 1952 Joe Fignar pitches 11 innings of scoreless relief and Coaldale pulls out a 5-3 Tri-County League win over Mauch Chunk. Fignar takes over in the second frame after Mauch Chunk tallies three runs in the first inning. He allows two walks and strikes out five in his lengthy stint. Pete Julo collects two hits and scores a pair of runs for the winners, while Bill Sproule and Frank Sloboda also finish with two hits apiece. Fignar chips in with a hit and run scored.
