State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at a Schuylkill County business early Sunday morning.

Troopers said a white male entered the Qwik Shop Kreisers Fuel Station, located at 198 S. Tremont St., Tremont, about 12:15 a.m. with a knife. He approached the clerk demanding money.

He then followed the clerk behind a counter and she proceeded to give him an undetermined amount of cash. He then fled the scene on foot in a westerly direction.

Troopers described the suspect as being six to six feet, two inches tall, thin build, wearing blue jeans, brown flannel hoodie, and a black mask.

The clerk, a 22-year-old female, was not injured in the incident.
