Blue Mountain Health System will offer a talk, "Medical Imaging Exams: Non-invasive, But Are They Safe?" on Wed., Feb. 6, at 11 a.m. in the community room at the Gnaden Huetten campus, 211 N. 12th St. in Lehighton.

Have you ever wondered about the safety of, and long term risks associated with, exposure to radiation from medical imaging for you, your child or loved one? James Backstrom, MD, Radiologist, will talk about the Image Wisely® and Image Gently® Campaigns, which address concerns about the amount of radiation medical imaging technology exposes adults and children to. Learn about imaging services at Blue Mountain Health System and steps that can be taken to maximize the benefits of medical imaging exams, including CAT (CT) and PET scans, X-ray and MRI, while minimizing potential risks. Please register at (610) 377-7070.
