Vehicle on fire being probed

State police at Lehighton are investigating a vehicle set on fire incident.

Troopers said the 1983 Chevrolet Camaro of Amanda Lee Pensyl, 22, of 8962 W. Robinhood Drive, Kunkletown, Polk Township, Monroe County, was found by the victim on fire about 10:10 p.m. on Jan. 23. The vehicle sustained serious damages, troopers said. The investigation into the incident is continuing.

Troopers are also probing a criminal mischief incident that occurred at 7605 Interchange Road, in Lehighton. Someone spray painted black graffiti on three storage lockers at that location. The incident occurred sometime between 10 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 25, and 7 a.m. on Saturday.

Mailboxes at 229 Weir Lake Road, on Saylorsburg, Ross Township, Monroe County, were damaged by unknown persons. The incident was reported at 8:15 a.m. on Jan. 24. The victims are Lelia Dowb, 55, and Peggy Ann Hardy, 64.
