Carbon crash

State police at Lehighton reported on a one-vehicle crash that occurred about 1:45 p.m. on Jan. 20 along Forest Inn Road, in Lower Towamensing Township, Carbon County.

Troopers said Tyler J. Koch, 18, of Palmerton, was driving a 2004 Ford 550XL southbound when he lost control while attempting to negotiate a left curve. The vehicle traveled onto the east berm and struck a guide rail with its front left side. It then struck a utility pole where it came to rest.

Koch was injured and taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, by Palmerton ambulance. His passenger, Skyler S. Rosenberry, 17, of Lehighton, was not injured.
