Fern Horn, a resident of The Village at Palmerton, recently celebrated her 87th birthday. She was born on Jan. 23, 1926.

Previously from Slatington, Fern was an active member of the Meals on Wheels program."Delivering foods to shut-ins was so rewarding," Fern says looking back on her life. "You meet so many nice people who can live alone, but just don't want to cook or do the dishes anymore!"Fern has one son Randy, who lives in Slatington.
