Students at Our Lady of the Angels Academy, Lansford, recently participated in the Snowflakes for Sandy Hook project. After the tragedy at Sandy Hook, the school body wanted to ensure that students were welcomed back to school in a winter wonderland in their new building. Parent volunteers from the Sandy Hook community worked with the school administration to spread the word about the project to other schools around the country. Participants created snowflakes and included encouraging messages to the students. Pictured with snowflakes are, front row, from left, Stephen Behun, Morgan O'Brien, Elsie Heckman and Samuel Homyak. Back row, Corey Rehnert, Brayden Feisel, Emilia Tenisci, Laralyn Mullen, Brian Bauer and Charizma Hiles.
