Lansford man's request for bail reduction is denied

A Lansford man was among four defendants who received hearings in Schuylkill County court before Senior Judge D. Michael Stine on motions filed to have their bail reduced.

Alisen Vanger, 23, of 19 W. Bertsch St., Lansford, who resided at 231 Fisher Avenue, Coaldale, when cited last Aug. 21 by Coaldale Chief Timothy Delaney, with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, had his motion to reduce his bail from $10.000 straight cash denied.

Randy Michael Bruen, 37, Pottsville, had his bail reduced to $20,000 percentage cash with the stipulation he cannot ingest alcohol or illegal drugs while out on bail. Bruen faces two counts of retail theft, criminal conspiracy, and receiving stolen property filed by Saint Clair Patrolman Joseph J. Leskin.

Robert James Fitzpatrick, 64, Valley View Village, Hegins Township, had his bail reduced to $10,000 percentage cash with stipulation he reside at 666 Clairmont Avenue, Schuylkill Haven, and shall not relocate without prior permission from court. He faces charges of driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol, possession of drug paraphernalia, and careless driving brought by Schuylkill Haven Patrolman Kenneth A. Jacoby.

Cory Michael Simpson, 23. Pottsville,. had his bail reduced to $5,000 percentage cash with the stipulation he must reside at 416 Spring Garden St., Pottsville, and not relocate without court permission. He faces charges of theft filed by Cass Township Sgt. Dennis Levan.
