A Tamaqua landmark is undergoing a facelift. The Burkhardt Moser log home, the first house built in Tamaqua, has had a new roof installed as part of a restoration project of the Tamaqua Historical Society. The log home was built in 1801by Burkhardt Moser, the first settler and founder of Tamaqua. Besides the new roof, the original brick chimney has been replaced with a stone chimney.
