Ss. Peter and Paul plans Catholic Schools Week activities week of Jan. 27

Ss. Peter and Paul School, Lehighton, announces its 2013 Catholic Schools' Week Activities.

On Sunday, Jan. 27, the school community kicks off Catholic Schools Week with an open house beginning with Mass at 11 a.m. and activities continuing until 2:30 p.m. The school's Academic Fair will also be open to the public at this time.

On Monday, Jan. 28, report cards are issued and it is "Pajama Day."

Tuesday, Jan. 29 is "Team Day." There will be an assembly presented by the Carbon County Environmental Center and talent show practice from 2:15 to 3:30 p.m.

Wednesday, Jan. 30 is "Parent/Grandparent Appreciation Day." Students will honor their families with a parent/grandparent luncheon. Students should wear their winter or standard uniform.

Thursday, Jan. 31 is "Pastor Appreciation Day" and "Student Appreciation Day." All students receive personal awards. Students should wear their gym uniforms. Talent show practice will be held from 2:15 to 3:30 p.m.

The week of celebration closes on Friday, with "Teacher Appreciation Day." Students should dress in mission colors. Students will watch a movie in the school hall with their "buddies" in the morning. Everyone is invited to the annual student council sponsored talent show and bake sale at 12:30 p.m. in the borough annex.
