Mailbox damages reported in Ross

State police at the Lehighton barracks are investigating a criminal mischief incident that happened between noon Dec. 21 and 2 p.m. Dec. 22 at a residence in Ross Township, Monroe County.

Police said the victim is William Hamilton, 71, of Saylorsburg.

He reported someone went to his residence at 2896 Mountain Road in the township and used a blunt object to smash his mailbox.

In a separate incident report, police said someone damaged a mailbox between 5 p.m. Dec. 30 and noon Dec. 31 at two other locations in Ross Township.

The damage was caused at 1241 Spruce Road and 658 Faulstick Road in the township.

The victims in the criminal mischief were identified as Diane Kay Free, 62, and James Jerome Mahachek, 53, both of Monroe County.
