Liquor Control efforts reported

The Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement, District 2 Office, has reported activity related to enforcing the state's liquor laws in December.

The district office has officers assigned to enforce the liquor laws and related provisions of the law as they pertain to over 2,100 establishments licensed in Carbon, lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe, Pike, Susquehanna, Wayne and Wyoming counties.

The December statistical report shows police received 70 complaints last monet and visited licensed establishments 211 times. As a result of those investigations, police issued 14 administrative citations and gave out 16 warnings for violations of liquor laws.
