More than 500 people attended an open house of Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital's new intensive/coronary care unit and recovery room. The new facilities are located in the area previously occupied by the main lobby and is twice the size of the original unit. It features accommodations for six patients. Ground was broken for the unit last February. The modernization project, which cost $11.6 million, includes construction of both a three-story wing and one-story addition. Work is progression on the interior of the new additions.
