A Schuylkill County driver was cited for leaving the scene of an accident earlier this week.

State police at Frackville said Neil W. Kershetsky, 30, of Mahanoy City, fled the scene of the crash which occurred about 2:15 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 31, along SR54 (Barnesville Drive), in Ryan Township.

Troopers said Kershetsky was operating a Chevrolet 1500 pickup truck when it left the road and struck a dirt/rock embankment with the front end. After impact the truck spun counter-clockwise and rolled over, coming to rest across the west and eastbound lanes facing north. In addition to the charge of fleeing the scene Kershetsky will also be charged with several other motor vehicle code violations, troopers said.
