Members of the Citizen's Fire Company and East End Fire Company in Tamaqua donated a large number of combined items to the Tamaqua Volunteers Free Tamaqua Community Giveaway. The monthly giveaways are not being held in the winter due to cold temperatures. The next event will be advertised via the TIMES NEWS, TamaquaArea.com and signs placed throughout Tamaqua. They are not taking donations currently, as there is no room to store donations. For more information call (570) 668-1234. Citizen's Fire Company firefighters Austin Bennage, right, and Vice President Chris Heffelfinger help carry one of two televisions donated to the free community giveaway.
