Tamaqua police are investigating two acts of criminal mischief reported to the department on Dec. 23. Unknown persons allegedly caused damage to two Railroad Street businesses during the overnight hours.

The M&I Deli, at 535 N. Railroad St., had a glass door broken. The door led to a storage area. At Padora's Six Pack House, 209 N. Railroad St., someone smashed a front window and ripped siding off a door.Anyone with information concerning either incideht is asked to call police at (570) 668-5000.
