A Schuylkill County driver was involved in a crash in Lehigh County. State police at Fogelsville said the accident occurred about 3:10 p.m. on Feb. 2 along Interstate 78 in Weisenberg Township.

Troopers said James A. Larrison, 43, of New Ringgold, was driving a 2006 Mitsubishi Endeavor westbound when he lost control. The vehicle hit the guard rail and then bounced back onto the road. The vehicle then went off the road again and hit the guard rail, returning to the right lane. It traveled off the road again and through a shrubbery and it a wire fence.

The vehicle continued through the fence and across Heffner Road, in a northerly direction. It continued into a corn field, made a big U-turn, and began to travel south and went over an embankment causing it to go airborne.

The vehicle's front end began to descend first and then hit Heffner Road with its front end. It then flipped over onto its roof and came to rest on its roof on the road.

Damages were extensive to the vehicle. Larrison was injured and taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, by Cetronia ambulance.
