Four arrested at youth camp

Four females were arrested for an incident at a youth camp in Monroe County.

State police at Lehighton said the incident occurred about 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 22, at the Youth Services Agency camp in Eldred Township.

Arrested was Daneeka La-Fay Snipe, 18, who was charged with simple assault, harassment, and disorderly conduct.

She is a resident of the youth camp. She was arraigned on the charges and committed to the county prison in Snydersville.

Three other females, one 17 and two 14, also residents of the camp, were each charged with disorderly conduct.

Those charges will be filed with county juvenile probation office personnel.

Troopers said the four engaged in a verbal argument at the camp that turned physical.
