McAdoo police have cited Jonathan Harris, 26, of 133 S. Hancock St., McAdoo, following a vehicle stop on Feb. 17.

Officers were monitoring traffic on South Kennedy Drive at 1:10 a.m. when they observed a blue Dodge Stratus entering the Fegley mini mart lot. When the occupants observed the squad car, the Dodge was turned around, exiting the lot. The passenger kept looking back and the officers observed a non-functioning registration light.

A traffic stop was made on South Hancock Street. Harris, the passenger, refused to identify himself. The officers noted a strong odor of marijuana coming from the car and conducted a pat down search. They found a bag containing vegetable matter in Harris' coat pocket as well as the man's identification.

He was cited for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
