Second victim of I81 crash identified

The second victim of a fatal crash along interstate 81 in Delano Township, Schuylkill County, that occurred about 8:53 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 17, has been identified.

State police at Frackville said Kingsley Okaegbu, 21, of Philadelphia, was seriously injured when he was ejected from the 1999 Ford Expedition he was traveling in when it crash. Okaegbu was flown by Pennstar helicopter to St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill, where he remains hospitalized.

Killed in the crash was Nathaniel Lockwood-Keller, 20, also of Philadelphia. He was also ejected from the vehicle and landed in a northbound lane where he was run over by multiple vehicles, troopers said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Ford was driven northbound when it left the road and impacted with an embankment in the median. The Ford then overturned multiple times with both occupants being ejected. Okaegbu was found lying on the rock embankment.

Troopers said the two victims were not wearing seat belts. Troopers have yet to determine who was driving. The investigation into the crash is continuing.
