George E. Stuby Jr., 30, of Kunkletown, escaped injuries in a one-vehicle crash at 4:10 p.m. Feb. 14 on SR534 in Polk Township, Monroe County.

State police at Lehighton said he was driving a 1999 Ford Windstar eastbound on the road when the vehicle lost tire pressure in the right front tire, causing him to lose control of the vehicle. It left the east side of the roadway and struck a guide rail end, after which time it bounded off the rail, hit a second section of it and then struck a tree approximately five feet off the eastbound lane.

The Polk Township Fire Company assisted police at the scene.
