Tamaqua police are still investigating a stabbing that took place around 8:30 p.m. yesterday. Police scanner traffic last night stated a man was stabbed by a woman. After tracking the man's cell phone, the 911 center instructed police to search areas around West Penn, South Tamaqua and eventually inside Tamaqua. Involved in the search were police from West Penn, Tamaqua and surrounding communities. In the end, the injured man was found in an apartment at 104 Schuylkill Ave. He was taken by Tamaqua ambulance to St. Luke's-Miner's Campus, Coaldale. No more information was available from police as of press time. Above, Tamaqua police and paramedics carry the stabbing victim into the back of an ambulance.
