A Schuylkill County man was jailed on Wednesday on charges of terroristic threats and other counts.

State police at Frackville said Michael Hannock, 36, of Grier City, Barnesville, was arrested on a warrant which was obtained on Feb. 9. Troopers allege that Hannock phoned a 37-year-old Mahanoy City woman and texted her on multiple occasions, making verbal threats to her and the child they had together, during a two-day period.

Hannock was arraigned before on-call District Judge Anthony J. Kilker, of Shenandoah, on the threats count plus charges of stalking and harassment. Bail was set at $25,000 straight cash.

Troopers said Hannock was also charged with indirect criminal contempt for violating a protection from abuse (PFA) order the female had in place at the time. He was arraigned on that charge with bail set at $10,000 straight cash.

Hannock was unable to post bail and was committed to the county prison in Pottsville.
