Woman's Club

The next meeting of the Nesquehoning Woman's Club will be held on Monday, March 4 at MapleShade Meadows Assisted Living Center in town.

Dinner and dessert will be served by the facility.

Members need to make a reservation by contacting Nan Kevilly at (570) 645-6332 by Feb. 25.

Ash Wednesday at Meed's

Meed's Untied Methodist Church, 126 W. Catawissa St., will celebrate Ash Wednesday service, tonight at 7:15.

All are welcome to attend.

Welcome Homeprogram

Over the years many Catholic people have drifted away from the Catholic faith. During this Lenten season St. Francis of Assisi in Nesquehoning will be offering informal listening sessions and an update of Catholic faith for anyone who is interested in returning home.

No commitment is required in these sessions.

The Welcome Home program will begin Feb. 19 through March 19, starting at 6:30-8 p.m.

Ash Wednesday service

Ash Wednesday service at St. John the Evangelist Lutheran Church, 1 E. Abbott St., Lansford, will be held tonight at 7 o'clock with Holy Communion. Bible study and Holden Evening Prayer service will resume after Easter.

Trinity Lutheran

An Ash Wednesday Holy Communion service will be held at 7 o'clock tonight at Trinity Lutheran Church, 104 E. Abbott St., Lansford.

The Rev. Roy Koehler will officiate.

All are welcome to attend.
