Man jailed for domestic assault

A Monroe County man was jailed over the past weekend as the result of a domestic incident.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said about 10:20 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 8, they received a call from the county communications center to make contact with Jean Marie Fitzpatrick-Tanner, of 41 High St., Mount Pocono, in reference to a domestic incident. Mrs. Tanner advised police she had been assaulted at her residence by her husband, Daniel Tanner, 39.

Police noted Mrs. Tanner had several bruises over her arms and a cut on the top of her head with dried blood.

Police went to the Tanner residence and took him into custody. He was charged with simple assault and harassment. He was placed in the county prison in Snydersville pending arraignment.
