Quakake man facing charges

Rush Township police have arrested a Quakake man in connection with the theft of a generator owned by the Quakake Volunteer Fire Company.

The investigation led police to William A. Frye, 41, a volunteer with the fire company. Frye initially told officers he had permission to use the Homelite generator, which he had placed in his garage. He also said someone stole the generator from his garage.After additional information was received Frye admitted stealing the generator and selling it as scrap metal.He faces charges of theft, receiving stolen property, and making false statements to police.
